Job Summary

The Solution Architect leads the technical design of process and automation solutions during the tender phases. As a true technical reference and guarantor of offer consistency he/she plays a role equivalent to that of a Lead Process Engineer during the execution phase. The mission: transform a customer need into an integrated efficient safe and competitive solution.

Main Responsibilities

Safety and Environment

  • Ensure the safety of installation designs.
  • Make sure environmental impacts are properly considered.
  • Fully participate in design reviews and handle associated actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local engineering design regulations.
  • Promote a safety culture particularly during interventions at customer or supplier sites.

Design Process Management

  • Coordinate contributions from internal technical teams and key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with preproject engineers bid managers and technical experts.
  • Organize and lead meetings required to deliver technical outputs.
  • Guarantee high-quality deliverables that are coherent compliant with customer needs and aligned with internal standards.
  • Identify resource requirements and inform relevant managers.

Design Ownership

  • Transform customer specifications into an integrated and competitive technical solution.
  • Design process flow diagrams mass balances and P&ID diagrams.
  • Ensure consistency and integration of all technical subsystems.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements regulations internal standards and budget constraints.
  • Document store and maintain all design information in a structured manner.
  • Identify and formalize any deviations from customer requirements.

Communication and Coordination

  • Participate in technical and commercial meetings with customers.
  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering procurement quality installation etc.).
  • Contribute to equipment cost evaluation with procurement.
  • Verify that the design aligns with the installation strategy.

Solution Costing

  • Provide the necessary inputs for estimating engineering hours.
  • Consolidate estimates and propose an execution strategy.
  • Develop an execution schedule in line with available resources.
  • Verify overall alignment between technical scope strategy and costing.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the improvement of tools standards and methods.
  • Share and document best practices.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (process mechanical electrical or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in engineering design and execution within food beverage pharmaceutical or hygienic industries.
  • Knowledge of the dairy sector is a plus.
  • Experience in managing or coordinating technical teams.
  • Excellent communication analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to build networks and work in a team within a matrix and international environment.
  • Fluent English (C1).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project appreciated.

Conditions

  • Position based at one of our EMEA site (Evreux France/Brno CZ/ Silkeborg or Soeborg Danemark /Madrid Spain) with occasional missions on customer or supplier sites.
