Position Summary

Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Environmental Team Member to support a clean safe and welcoming learning environment for scholars staff and families. Environmental Team Members play a vital role in maintaining the physical spaces where learning happens and contribute directly to the health safety and pride of our school community.

Essential Responsibilities

Environmental Team Members are responsible for maintaining clean safe and functional learning environments across campus.

Responsibilities may include:

• Maintaining cleanliness of classrooms hallways restrooms offices and common areas

• Sweeping mopping vacuuming and sanitizing surfaces

• Removing trash and recycling materials

• Assisting with setup and breakdown for school events or activities

• Restocking restroom and sanitation supplies

• Performing light maintenance and reporting facility issues to leadership

• Supporting safety protocols to ensure a healthy learning environment

• Contributing to a culture of respect teamwork and pride in our school facilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior custodial facilities or maintenance experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for scholars

Work Environment

This role requires standing walking lifting bending and performing cleaning tasks for extended periods. Environmental Team Members may work in various areas of the campus.
