Job Description
As a Security Officer - Main Gate Control in Sparks NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will manage access control at key entry points verify credentials and support badge processing while maintaining a strong visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas document security-related activity and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Bring agility reliability and integrity to a people-first team that delivers through teamwork.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Manage access control at entry points by verifying identification processing visitor and contractor check-in and maintaining access logs according to site requirements.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating driver check-in monitoring inbound and outbound vehicle traffic and documenting trailer seal and delivery information as directed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility yard and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security experience.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
