About the Role
As Caretaker you will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are secure clean and well-maintained. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to a wide range of maintenance needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the school site each day

• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs across the school buildings and grounds

• Ensuring playgrounds classrooms and communal areas are clean and safe

• Monitoring heating lighting and security systems

• Supporting the setup of classrooms halls and outdoor spaces for events and activities

• Conducting basic health and safety checks and reporting any issues

• Liaising with contractors and suppliers as required

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience in caretaking facilities maintenance or a similar role

• Be practical reliable and able to carry out minor repairs

• Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety procedures

• Be organised proactive and capable of working independently

• Have good communication skills when interacting with staff contractors and visitors

Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
