About the Role
This role is based at BYDs Mulgrave office and requires working 5 days onsite reporting directly to the Director of Aftersales Operations.

The Network (Development) Service Planning Specialist manages the Aftersales Network Development function responsible for Service capacity planning Service facility development and overall BYD Aftersales expansion in Australia. This role focuses on executing network development (Aftersales) initiatives coordinating dealer facility commencement ensuring compliance with brand standards and supporting performance this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1. Network Service Planning

  • Evaluate dealership proposals for Service & Parts operations ensuring each proposal meets BYDs brand standards and volume plans.

  • Develop action plans to support our network and accelerate Service capacity in Australia.

  • Coordinate with external providers on required branding and internal Service Department layouts.

  • Maintain network planning data dealer maps and market intelligence reports.

  • Support the preparation of annual network development plans.

2. Dealer Appointment & Onboarding

  • Support the evaluation of dealer candidates for the BYD brand (Aftersales operational and infrastructure capability).

  • Coordinate documentation due diligence and approval processes.

  • Assist in preparing dealer agreements and onboarding checklists.

  • Monitor new dealer set-up progress to ensure timeline compliance.

3. Dealer Performance Monitoring

  • Track dealer Aftersales KPI performance supporting Regional Service Managers with insights.

  • Prepare monthly performance reports and dashboards.

  • Support performance improvement initiatives for underperforming dealers.

4. Facility & Brand Compliance

  • Coordinate dealer facility audits and CI compliance checks.

  • Track renovation relocation or new build projects.

  • Ensure required documentation and approvals are completed.

5. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain an accurate dealer database and network records.

  • Prepare regular network status updates and presentations.

  • Support budget tracking for network development projects.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with Sales Marketing Product Planning Finance and Legal teams to ensure alignment.

  • Support dealer meetings workshops and performance reviews.

  • Coordinate communication between headquarters and dealers regarding network initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Automotive Network Development Regional/District Management or a key OEM planning role including project management.

  • Diploma or degree in business or a related field is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong understanding of automotive facilities planning processes and corporate brand guidelines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex plans under critical timelines.

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Detail-oriented flexible and proactive in responding to changing business needs.

  • Highly adaptable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Strong computer literacy and analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Teams SharePoint and Outlook.

Performance Goals

  • Timely onboarding of new dealers.

  • Accuracy of network data and reporting.

  • Achievement of relevant business KPIs.

  • Delivery of Network Service Brand objectives.

  • Production of high-quality reports and analysis to support operational decision-making.

  • Adherence to project timelines.

  • Ensure network growth aligns with corporate strategy and Aftersales objectives.
