Job Summary

About the role
The successful candidate will lead the Science department while teaching across the curriculum. You will oversee the delivery of Biology Chemistry and Physics and ensure consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
The role will involve:
Leading and developing the Science department
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on specialism
Driving high standards of teaching learning and assessment
Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
Supporting and mentoring members of the Science team
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
You will maintain a teaching timetable and play a key role in supporting whole-school academic success.

The ideal candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Science
Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Previous leadership experience or readiness to lead a department
A collaborative and proactive leadership approach
