Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rapid Response in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle-area patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support riders and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations respond to calls for assistance and collaborate with site partners using integrity teamwork and a people-first approach backed by Allied Universals agile reliable and innovative culture.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at government transportation facilities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations platforms parking areas vehicles and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with law enforcement and/or site leadership as needed.
- Control access to restricted areas verify identification and/or credentials and monitor entry points and public areas in accordance with post orders.
- Document incidents observations and patrol activity in detailed reports and maintain required equipment and firearms handling practices in compliance with Allied Universal policies and applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
