SUMMARY
The Senior Application analyst reporting to the Director of IT Applications will be part of a collaborative dynamic team and responsible for the design development and support of business applications aligned to key processes in a specific business area (Sales). The Senior analyst is expected to act as a liaison with business customers possessing both functional and technical skills and knowledge. This is a Pittsburgh based hybrid role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead application support function for the Sales organization
Support day-to-day operations projects enhancements and upgrades.
Business and system support of relevant business application for their designated business area.
Business process analysis and design.
Configuration of IT business applications to meet business requirements.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Collaborate internally with all IT groups (DBA Infrastructure Integration BI and other Applications) to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of integrations and application environments.
Gather business requirements create functional specifications and create and manage test plans.
Work in conjunction with 3rd party support vendors/personnel.
Demonstrate a willingness to expand knowledge and capabilities in support of the business area.
Accountable to deliver on production support SLAs.
Responsible for issue resolution and root cause analysis. Assist in developing permanent solutions to persistent application or integration issues/problems.
Maintain Help Desk tickets using JIRA.
Effectively interact with the end users to understand the nature and significance of application issues conveying solutions and monitoring the execution and results of user-acceptance testing (UAT).
Adhere to Change Control policies and procedures.
While not expected to be the norm off-hours support may be needed to address issues affecting business operations.
Collaborate with PMO on project priorities and project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelors degree in information systems or related IT/business field.
3 years experience supporting commercial applications like Salesforce.
Proven experience working with a Sales organization on technology needs.
5 years of general IT application support experience.
Broad understanding and hands on support development and configuration of IT business applications specifically for Sales organization.
Deep understanding of Sales terminology and processes and how application technology supports and enables them.
Proven ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Demonstrated business process mapping skills.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Strong data analysis process analysis design and testing skills.
Strong problem solving troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.
Proven ability to leverage key Microsoft O365 tools and technologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with other specific Armada core applications (JDE UKG Blue Yonder).
Business application project lead experience.
Experience with Azure/Power BI.
Software package identification and selection experience
