Senior Java Integration Developer

MUST HAVES:

• Extensive experience with REST API design and development including experience with API documentation and testing.
• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns and best practices including experience designing and building integration solutions using Spring Integration
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as JMS AMQP or REST and an understanding of how to use them in a Spring Integration context.
• Knowledge of data transformation techniques such as mapping and normalization and experience using them in a Spring Integration context.
• Strong skills in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.

Nice to Have:

Description

Scope

• The Justice Technology Services - Digital Design Branch requires a software developer with design/development of middleware and integration solutions knowledge to build integration infrastructure for Criminal Justice Digital Design (CJDD) products and work on various application integration endpoints including Criminal eIntake Digital Disclosure and Hearing Hub (D2H2) Digital Information Repository (DIR) and ICON Integration workstreams.

Assignment Deliverables

• The programmer developer will be responsible for coding and unit testing of interfaces created using Spring Boot/Spring Framework technology in the azure cloud environment translating functional specifications into working tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications user interface designs prototypes writing and/or generating code compiling data driven programs conducting unit tests and debugging code

Key deliverables will include:

• Development - Writing and/or generating code conducting unit tests on written code
• Design and Documentation Participate in creation of high-quality software design and documentation of SDLC phases
• Support Assist with troubleshooting production issues and support day-to-day operations

A Note on the VOR Master Service Agreement:

• The VOR Master Service Agreement expires on April 5 2027 and includes a six (6)-month survival clause allowing the Statement of Work (SOW) to continue if operationally required until October 5 2027. Extension(s) are only allowed using unused days and/or funds remaining on the contract. No additional funds will be added beyond the maximum contract value and any extension options included in the original SOW. JTS may exercise its option(s) to extend the SOW beyond April 5 2027 in accordance with the survival clause.
• The start date is subject to change based on security clearances and contract signing timelines.

• Practical knowledge in applying various design patterns and standards to the technical design and development.
• Knowledgeable in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for web application development OMG technical standards and OPS architecture standards.

Criteria 2: Integration - 30 Points

• Knowledge of data transformation techniques such as mapping and normalization and experience using them in a Spring Integration context.
• Experience with message-oriented middleware and enterprise service buses such as Azure Service Bus.
• Experience on Event Driven architecture experience on Azure Event Hub etc.

Criteria 3: Middleware - 15 Points

• Experience with Security and Web Services Security standards and frameworks. Must have extensive working experience in OAuth OpenID SAML 2.0 etc.

• Must have prior experience in working with containerized environments such as Azure OpenShift Docker Kubernetes Microservices etc.
