Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support industrial automation and electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment. The role will focus on PLC programming automation troubleshooting and electrical system design to support plant operations and capital projects.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic who can manage projects oversee contractors and ensure safe efficient electrical systems across production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment
Program and troubleshoot PLC systems
Configure and maintain industrial automation networks
Manage capital and expense budgets for plant electrical projects
Oversee contractors and coordinate with maintenance technicians
Ensure compliance with equipment safety standards
Support plant operations by resolving automation and electrical system issues

Required Skills

Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
PLC programming and troubleshooting
Experience with remote I/O and HMIs
Knowledge of Rockwell automation software
Industrial Ethernet communication and machine network layout
Knowledge of electrical safety standards including NFPA 70E
Ability to manage electrical projects and budgets

Preferred Skills

Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Experience supervising contractors and maintenance teams
Ability to design and implement industrial automation systems

Experience Requirements

5 years of experience in electrical engineering or automation
Hands-on experience with industrial automation and PLC systems

Education

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
