Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Compute Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and optimize on-premises datacentre infrastructure. The engineer will focus on Cisco UCS Dell PowerEdge servers VMware virtualization and Windows/Linux systems.

This role will own the compute infrastructure end-to-end including design build operations lifecycle management patching troubleshooting performance optimization and automation.

The candidate will work closely with network storage security and application teams to maintain high availability performance and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong datacentre operations experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Datacentre Compute Architecture & Build

Design deploy and configure Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge server infrastructure

Implement virtualization using VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation

2. Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance

Manage server lifecycle firmware upgrades patching and hardware maintenance

Maintain high availability using VMware HA DRS and vMotion

3. Virtualization Platform Management

Administer VMware ESXi vCenter and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

Support vSAN and NSX integrations

4. OS Administration

Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments

Support Linux (RHEL) based systems

5. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization

Diagnose issues across hardware hypervisor OS and virtualization layers Perform capacity planning and performance tuning

Required Skills:

7 10 years experience in datacentre compute engineering

Strong hands-on experience with:

Cisco UCS (UCS Manager Intersight Fabric Interconnects)

Dell PowerEdge Servers (iDRAC firmware lifecycle)

VMware vSphere (ESXi vCenter HA DRS vMotion)

VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

Windows Server Administration

Linux Administration (RHEL)
