Job Summary
Associate Attorney - Criminal Matters Personal Injury and Workers Comp
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense with personal injury ande workers compensation claim experience a major Plus. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse cases while being part of a team working for continued growth and success.
- Provide criminal defense representation
- Represent clients in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents slip and fall claims and premises liability cases
- Handle workers compensation claims from initial filing through resolution
- Conduct client interviews and case investigations
- Draft legal documents motions and correspondence
- Prepare cases for settlement negotiations and trial
- Maintain client relationships and provide regular case updates
- Collaborate with legal team members on case strategy and legal research
- Manage caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Active Louisiana State Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in personal injury workers compensation and/or criminal defense law
- Strong legal research writing and communication skills
- Experience with case management and litigation procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor and excellent client service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- License to practice in additional state bars
- Fluency in Spanish or other relevant languages
- Trial experience
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution and mediation
