Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Expert knowledge of network fundamentals including protocols server/desktop environments network hardware/software network management tools

Strong understanding of Network / Micro / Application Segmentation based on secure data flows

Hands on expertise in Palo Alto firewall policy design review implementation and troubleshooting

Ability to understand and evaluate Data Flows

Ability to write allow/deny policies based on communicated criteria

Ability to parse firewall logs and create/modify rules based on validated data flows

Strong understanding of Security Access Rules ACLs source/destination rules

Understanding of protocol communication active/passive ports and their relevance in rules creation

Experience in IP Address Subnetting and Management

Ability to analyze large datasets using Excel (vLookup IF Average Search Pivot Tables Sort Filter)

Required certification: CCNP or higher (active)

15 years total IT industry experience and 8 years as a Security Consultant with Palo Alto

Experience with Cisco Juniper or Arista network hardware/software

Operational experience with Illumio Host Agent
