Position: Elementary Grade Math Teacher (K-5)

DuBois Integrity Academy is seeking a passionate and innovative Elementary Grade Math Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in math instruction a deep understanding of state standards and a commitment to enhancing student learning through the fluid and consistent use of manipulatives. This role is designed for an educator who is adept at analyzing data managing classroom behavior and engaging with parents and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach State Standards:
Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that align with state math standards.
Integrate a variety of teaching methods and technology to support diverse learning styles.
Fluid and consistent use of manipulatives to provide hands-on interactive learning experiences that help students grasp complex mathematical concepts.
Data Analysis:
Administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student progress for reporting and instructional improvement.
Classroom Management:
Establish a structured respectful and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Implement effective behavior management techniques that promote a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Encourage student responsibility and independent learning through proactive classroom management strategies.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents guardians and other stakeholders regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Provide timely updates and progress reports and address any concerns with clarity and professionalism.
Collaborate with colleagues administrators and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Additional Duties:
Participate in professional development sessions to stay current with educational best practices and innovative instructional strategies.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives events and extracurricular math programs.
Engage in continuous reflection and planning to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification/license for 5th grade or upper elementary education.
Proven experience in elementary math instruction with a strong emphasis on using manipulatives to enhance learning.
Demonstrated ability to analyze student data to inform instructional strategies.
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
