JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The GME Program Manager 3 provides direction leadership and day-to-day management of educational and departmental activities including administrative support to the Program Director Associate/Assistant Program Directors and Chief Residents of the pediatric residency training program. This position provides educational coordination between attending physicians residents medical students and institutional and regulatory administrative offices. This position coordinates and administers ordinary human resource functions and participates in budget and financial processes; and acts for and makes decisions in the Program Directors absence.
Responsibilities- Ensures house staff compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Manages and coordinates ACGME-conducted accreditation site visits for Pediatric Residency Program.
- Maintains web-based GME accreditation surveys for Pediatric Residency Program Webads collecting andcollating information from various sources throughout the campus.
- Prepares and submits reports to ACGME American Board of Pediatrics American Association of Medical Colleges and other professional organizations as required.
- Develops new procedures in response to new or revised policies issued by governing agencies or the program director.
- Manages the operations of the residency program to include budgeting auditing procurement marketing resident benefits compliance and accreditation activities.
- Documents and credentials graduate medical education training conducted within the department including initiation and writing credentialing documents as required by house staff and completion of credentialing forms for signature by appropriate medical staff; maintenance of house staff personnel records including confidential evaluation and counseling records.
- Plans organizes and schedules new house staff orientation for onboarding of new residents.
- Creates resident rotation schedules; creates monthly resident conference schedules.
- Performs other duties as required.
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:Bachelors Degree (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience with a higher education institution applying accreditation standards or government regulations preferred; OR a combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office use of Excel Word Publisher PowerPoint Outlook forms etc.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills in communication compassionate listening and respect for all levels of people from faculty executive management residents students and staff.
- Ability to learn new systems such as New Innovations ERAS and Thalamus quickly.
- Skill prioritizing decision-making problem solving presentation and working in a health care setting.
- Knowledge of survey tools (Survey Monkey MS Forms RedCap Qualtrics etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments and outside agencies.
WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
