Work Location & Hours: Tuck Shoppe Carter Hall; Mon- Fri; 9am-5pm
The Tuck Shoppe Workers position will primarily assist customers with check-outs inventory and store operations-approximately 10-15 hours per week including some special events.
Qualifications for Position:
- Punctual and attentive to detail
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly professional and positive manner
- Ability to reliably complete tasks with little supervision
- Proven ability to perform multiple tasks at once
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to climb a step ladder
- Cash handling experience a plus
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use cash register to enter sales transactions for customers
- Keep the store back room and storage space clean organized and appropriately stocked
- Offer friendly and helpful customer service throughout the guest experience
- Answer telephones professionally
- Run on-campus errands as requested
- Organize and merchandise products assist with inventory and product display
- Available occasional nights and weekends for special events
- Optimize store presence online through social media posts and bookstore website updates
- Assist in preparation of daily and monthly financial reports
- Prepare and fulfill online orders as assigned
- Receive inventory in alignment with store policies and procedures
Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed
