Norton Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Administrative Assistant at the J. C. Solmonese Elementary School. Performance responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responds to correspondence writes letters responds to reports notices and recommendations.
- Monitors staff attendance to help obtain and coordinate substitute teachers on a daily basis.
- Maintains student and staff databases and performs tasks associated with regular state reporting.
- Maintains a regular filing system as well as a set of locked confidential files.
- Places and receives telephone calls and records messages.
- Manages purchase orders and maintains orders and supplies.
- Performs bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position to include but not limited to student activities and the unrestricted gift account to prepare reports and spreadsheets. Collecting and preparing deposits of the funds.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments using the technology tools utilized by the school and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews.
- Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screens unexpected callers in accordance with school policy.
- Maintains confidentiality of knowledge in regards to students parents families and staff.
- Remains professional in all communications with staff parents families and students.
- Responsible for all other tasks assigned by the building principal.

current collective bargaining agreement.
