Position Summary:
The Technology Service Summer Technician assists the department by providing front-line customer service and operational support across campus. Primary duties will include AV assistance for summer conferences and inventory management for technology equipment owned by the College.
Qualifications for Position:
- Prior experience in A/V work.
- Technical troubleshooting skills.
- High motivation to provide excellence in customer support.
- Personable willing to learn punctual.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of Google Mail Calendar Contacts Drive Sheets Docs and Slides.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to climb a ladder.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mix sound for concerts conferences and various summer events.
- Deliver and connect computers across campus
- Assist with inventory management and other special projects.
- Answer the Help Desk phone and log calls into the call tracking system.
- Greet people who enter the office and answer their questions (e.g. connecting to theScotsWifi network resetting passwords etc.).
- Act as an administrative assistant for the department (i.e. general office duties such astyping filing checking mail etc.).
- Proofread existing end-user documentation and departmental reports.
- Fulfill such other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer.
