Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Pay Range: $26-28 per hour
Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the operation inspection and maintenance of mechanical electrical plumbing and kitchen equipment systems within assigned facilities. This role involves assisting with maintenance and repair efforts while also performing routine tasks independently to ensure the building and its systems remain in proper working condition.
On a day-to-day basis the Maintenance Technician works closely with the operations team to maintain and repair building systems and equipment. Responsibilities include general interior maintenance such as HVAC and refrigeration coil cleaning evaporator coil cleaning and upkeep of kitchen equipment including grinders slicers and similar tools. The role also involves performing minor plumbing repairs maintaining lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts and completing general maintenance tasks such as painting basic locksmith work and responding to service requests. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation to address after-hours emergencies. Maintaining a safe work environment is essential including following all safety procedures identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions. The technician is also expected to participate in ongoing technical and safety training and to document completed work and materials used.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and possess a valid drivers license. A minimum of one year of experience in general building maintenance including basic plumbing and electrical work is required and completion of a technical training program is preferred. A Class B UST Certification is required. The role demands the ability to lift up to 80 pounds work on ladders up to 30 feet and demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Candidates must be able to successfully pass background drug and alcohol and motor vehicle record screenings.
The ideal candidate is dependable self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
