Position Description:

The Subway Manager is responsible for overseeing thedaily operations of all food service and beverage programs within the sitefacility. This role includes managing both branded food offerings andproprietary food programs ensuring that customer service is exceptional foodsafety standards are maintained and operational goals are met. The managerwill be hands-on involved in both leadership and operational tasks includinglifting and carrying products maintaining stock levels and ensuring a cleanand efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Supervise train and motivate a team of food service employees toprovide high-quality customer service.
  • Ensure that staff is knowledgeable about branded food programs andproprietary offerings.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback toteam members.

Food & Beverage Program Management:

  • Oversee the implementation and execution of branded food programs(e.g. national fast-food brands coffee stations) as well as proprietaryin-house menu offerings.
  • Ensure consistency in product quality portion sizes andpresentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of food andbeverage items.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food beverages and supplies andplace orders as needed.
  • Manage food cost and labor budgets to ensure profitability.

Customer Service & Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues orcomplaints promptly.
  • Implement procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness andhygiene in all food and
  • beverage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal food safetyregulations including health and sanitation standards.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Oversee daily operations ensuring all areas are staffed stockedand operational during peak traffic times.
  • Assist with the preparation presentation and serving of food andbeverages when needed.
  • Perform regular quality checks of food offerings to ensure theymeet company standards.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure the food and beverage area meet safety standards includingproper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all food preparation serving and storageareas.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory sales staffing schedulesand operational issues.
  • Prepare weekly reports for upper management on operationalperformance sales and any relevant concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in HospitalityManagement Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage management.
  • Proven experience with branded food programs and managingproprietary menu offerings.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate adiverse team.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health departmentcompliance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays asneeded.
  • Valid State Drivers License required

Reports To:

  • Store Manager/Territory Manager/Area Manager

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand extended periods (up to 8 hours) duringshifts.
  • Capable of lifting boxes and products maximum 50 lbs. frequently10-25 lbs. and carrying items across the store.
  • Ability to bend squat and reach for products on shelves bothhigh and low. Ability to climb a ladder as needed.
  • Must be able to walk throughout the store and between departmentsregularly.
  • Ability to handle cash operate registers and bag itemsefficiently.
  • Must be comfortable with repetitive tasks such as scanning itemsrestocking and organizing products.
  • Able to work in cold environments including freezers andrefrigerators when restocking products.
  • The role requires mental focus and stamina to perform physicaltasks consistently and efficiently throughout the shift
  • Ability to work a schedule that allows for continuousavailability. Including outside of
  • standard business hours to effectively respond to urgentsituations and maintain roundthe-clock coverage.
  • Seasonal snow removal as needed.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations.
  • Ability to work alone.
