Hennepin County District Court invites qualified applicants for a Court Operations Leadworker II position in the Civil Division-Housing Court. Housing Court is a specialty court involving landlord-tenant disputes.
The Court Operations Leadworker II serves as a division leader and positive role model by applying specialized clerical expertise and a thorough understanding of division practices while demonstrating exceptional communication skills technical proficiency initiative and motivation in support of the Districts mission vision and values. This position performs highly advanced case processing staff training operational support and financial balancing functions. Work is completed in a high-volume fast-paced environment that requires dedication to providing excellent customer service application of specialized clerical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of Housing Court operations and procedures. The Leadworker II within the Fourth Judicial District-Housing Court division uses their vast knowledge of court operations technical expertise advanced problem-solving skills and leadership skills to serve as a primary resource for staff and internal/external stakeholders; to proactively identify workflow or process issues through analysis and research; to make accurate and timely decisions in the face of ambiguous or difficult situations; to coach and mentor staff in the supervisors absence; and to provide consistent training in court operations under limited supervision.
This AFSCME-represented position is classified as a Court Operations Leadworker II. Housing Court is located in the court tower of the Hennepin County Government Center (3rd floor C-300) in downtown Minneapolis at 300 South Sixth Street. Typical hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. This is primarily an onsite position with limited remote work opportunities depending on operational needs. A reliable internet connection will be required if working remotely.

Knowledge of current day-to-day court operations functions and scope of authority
Working knowledge of court policies and procedures and the ability to apply these to case processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Zoom Teamsand ability to learn other job-related software
Ability to write job procedures and develop clear training materials
Ability to adapt technical and procedural resources to the various learning styles of staff
Ability to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships while providing guidance direction and motivation to others along with strong selfmotivation and the capacity to prioritize work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism when interacting with internal and external stakeholders

Salary:
The expected starting salary for external candidates is at least $27.50 per hour and may be higher depending on qualifications. Pay will be determined in compliance with the AFSCME contract. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible forState of Minnesota employee benefits.
