Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 10 years of experience in the software industry to lead and execute comprehensive testing activities across the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in manual testing test automation test strategy and quality engineering practices.

This role requires a proactive professional who can design and implement robust testing frameworks collaborate closely with development and product teams and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning:

• Participate in requirement analysis and design discussions to ensure testability and quality.
  
• Define test strategies test plans and quality standards for applications and systems.
  
• Estimate testing efforts and define testing scope for releases.
  

Manual Testing:

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases test scenarios and test scripts.
  
• Perform functional regression integration system and user acceptance testing support.
  
• Identify document and track defects through the defect lifecycle.
  
• Validate fixes and ensure defects are properly resolved.
  

Automation Testing:

• Design develop and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts.
  
• Automate regression test suites to improve testing efficiency.
  
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  
• Continuously enhance test automation coverage.
  

Test Execution & Quality Assurance:

• Execute test cases across different environments and platforms.
  
• Perform end-to-end testing across the entire application lifecycle.
  
• Conduct API testing data validation and integration testing when required.
  
• Ensure traceability between requirements test cases and defects.
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with developers product managers business analysts and DevOps teams.
  
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements.
  
• Implement best practices in test automation test data management and defect management.
  
• Contribute to the development of QA standards and methodologies.
  

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  
• Strong experience in manual testing across full SDLC/STLC.
  
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  
• Experience with test case design defect tracking and test management tools.
  
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright or similar.
  
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java Python or JavaScript.
  
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman REST Assured etc.).
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or similar.
  
• Experience with performance or security testing is an added advantage.
  

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
