Senior Digital Service Product Owner

About the role
Were looking for a Senior Digital Product Owner to join our Digital Customer team within Consumer Insurance. In this role youll take ownership of key webbased digital selfservice experiences that support more than 60% of all insurance transactions making them critical to both customer satisfaction and business growth.
Youll be responsible for shaping prioritising and delivering features across our Web Digital Service applications including major customer portals and policy selfservice capabilities. Working closely with crossfunctional teams youll help create simple intuitive digital experiences that enable customers to feel informed and in control of their insurance.
As a senior member of the team youll also act as a role model and mentor supporting junior product owners and contributing to a strong collaborative and customerfocused culture.
This is a permanent opportunity and can be based in Sydney Melbourne or Brisbane.
What youll be doing
Define and clearly communicate product vision aligned to tribe strategy and broader business goals
Own and maintain the product backlog ensuring clear prioritisation and alignment with sprint objectives
Collaborate with business stakeholders design user testing technology and delivery teams to deliver highquality digital features and enhancements
Gather refine and prioritise requirements based on customer needs business value and datadriven insights
Use customer feedback and performance data to validate assumptions and inform product decisions
Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog refinement and reviews
Track and report on KPIs including product performance adoption and ROI
Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of customer support issues related to digital assets
Mentor junior product owners and contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices
Support other business units in delivering features that leverage the broader Digital Service ecosystem (e.g. identity payments AI)
Key relationships
Youll build strong working relationships across:
Consumer Insurance functions and Centres of Excellence
Assisted and digital channels
Technology Transformation and Digital Customer delivery teams
Stakeholders across multiple Consumer Insurance tribes
About You:
Experience & qualifications
35 years experience in a digital or eCommerce environment ideally within insurance
Mandatory experience within digital and financial services
Proven delivery of complex digital programs with measurable business outcomes
Strong experience building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
Experience or strong interest in payments and identity management
Tertiary qualification in Business eCommerce Information Systems Marketing or a related discipline (desirable) or equivalent professional experience
Personal qualities
Strong passion for digital services and customer experience
Calm patient and professional in complex or highpressure environments
Structured logical thinker with strong attention to detail
Able to simplify complex technical concepts for a broad audience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised selfdisciplined and deliveryfocused
A collaborative team player with a solutionoriented mindset
Curious adaptable and open to change with a drive for continuous improvement
