Job Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management is committed to excellence in education research and patient care. The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center isseekinga highly motivated Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Academic Pediatric Anesthesiologist with advanced training orsignificant experiencein pediatric cardiac anesthesiology to join our growing program at Childrens Medical Center Dallas. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the departments academic research and teaching missions.
Position Highlights
Provide anesthesia services supporting children with congenital andacquiredheart disease across cardiac and non-cardiac surgeries.
We care for one of the largest pediatric heart failure populations in the country manage patients on ventricular assist devices and lead the nationinpediatric heart transplants.
Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum and Childrens Medical Center Dallas.
Supervise and teach residents fellows and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.
Participate in departmental academic activities such as research quality improvement and scholarly projects.
Engage in collaborative multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution.
MD DO or equivalent degree.
Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent).
Board certification or board eligible in Pediatric Anesthesia
Advanced training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia
Board certification or board eligible in Adult Cardiac Anesthesia and advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
Demonstrated interest in education scholarship and academic contributions.
Commitment to excellence in patient care teamwork and professional development.
Candidates with dual subspecialty training in adult cardiothoracic and pediatric cardiac anesthesia are welcome to apply.
