An opportunity exists for an experienced SERVICE ADVISOR within a busy commercial workshop environment based in the Midvaal Region.
- This role requires a candidate with strong technical understanding of commercial trucks and fleet maintenance operations combined with excellent customer service and workshop coordination skills.
- The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between customers workshop technicians and parts departments ensuring vehicles are diagnosed repaired and returned to service efficiently within operational timelines.
- Experience working with large commercial vehicle brands or similar heavy-duty vehicle platforms will be highly advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing vehicles in for servicing repairs and inspections
- Open and manage job cards for all service and repair work
- Conduct initial vehicle assessments and accurately record reported faults
- Coordinate communication between customers workshop technicians and parts departments
- Provide repair estimates service recommendations and cost explanations to clients
- Monitor workshop job progress and ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of service history repairs and parts usage
- Ensure all warranty claims and service procedures are completed according to manufacturer standards
- Follow up with customers regarding repairs service updates and vehicle collection
- Assist with workshop scheduling to optimise technician productivity and workflow
- Maintain strong relationships with fleet clients and commercial vehicle operators
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Service Advisor within a commercial truck or heavy vehicle workshop environment
- Proven experience working with Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMW) / Medium Motor Vehicles (MMV)
- Experience with large commercial vehicle brands advantageous
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle servicing diagnostics and repair processes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple job cards and service workflows simultaneously
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Computer literacy and experience with dealership service management systems advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Traceable & contactable references
- Local residency in the Midvaal / surrounding Gauteng region preferred
