Duties & Responsibilities
A reputable civil engineering contractor is seeking a SACPCMP registered Construction Manager with extensive experience in pavement and road construction. The successful candidate will manage road infrastructure projects from planning to completion ensuring compliance with quality safety and contractual requirements.
Typical construction manager roles involve coordinating project teams supervising construction activities managing resources and ensuring projects are delivered within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage pavement construction projects including earthworks layerworks surfacing and drainage
- Oversee construction teams subcontractors and site personnel
- Ensure compliance with quality safety and environmental regulations
- Prepare and monitor construction programmes and schedules
- Manage plant equipment materials and site resources
- Liaise with engineers consultants and clients
- Monitor project progress cost control and reporting
- Ensure adherence to contract specifications and standards
Minimum Requirements
- BSc / BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as:
- Professional Construction Manager or
- Professional Construction Project Manager
- Minimum 5years experience in civil construction
- Proven experience in road and pavement works (BSM asphalt reseals slurry etc.)
- Knowledge of GCC / FIDIC / NEC contracts
- Valid drivers license
