Job Summary:The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls emails and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers copiers fax machines etc.
Additional Department Summary:The Administrative Assistant II at the Law School provides a full range of administrative support for assigned Law School faculty members in their professional research and teaching roles. Duties will include preparing class and other written materials maintaining files coordinating schedules preparing correspondence conducting research reconciling expenses as well as other duties as needed. Assists with specific programs or committees in which assigned faculty members participate. Those duties may further include data entry planning and executing events or others supporting the assigned programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associates degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge:Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with little direction. Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Attention to detail. Proficiency in routine office software (Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with faculty in a higher education setting. Familiarity with UA systems such as Blackboard Concur E-Time etc.
