Job Summary
The Survey Research Center at the University of Southern Maines Catherine Cutler Institute has immediate openings for temporary part-time survey field researchers. The Survey Research Center conducts several short- and long-term projects each year. We are currently seeking individuals to conduct roadside observations for a highway safety project. This project involves traveling throughout the state of Maine to specified workday will last between 9 and 11 hours depending on travel time. The schedule may involve weekends and overnights. Total number of hours worked per week may vary. Pay is $18.50 per hour and a mileage reimbursement of $0.67 per mile is provided.
This position includes mandatory training which will be held on April 10 May 1 and May 29 in Portland Maine. Personal transportation and a valid drivers license are necessary.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to stand for an hour at a time throughout the workday.
- Experience with Google Maps is a plus.
- Personal transportation and a valid drivers license are necessary.
