The Facilities Manager oversees the daily maintenance and upkeep of the park and supervises the work activities of two (2) Maintenance Assistants and two (2) Custodians to ensure a safe clean and welcoming environment for guests staff and partners.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities this position works collaboratively across departments to plan and manage facility improvements maintenance projects and operational needs. The role develops project timelines tracks progress manages facilities inventory and ensures that park infrastructure and equipment remain in excellent working order. The Facilities Manager also partners closely with the Events and Education teams to support the successful execution of special programs and events throughout the park.
Oversee the daily maintenance repair and upkeep of park facilities structures and infrastructure
Supervise and support a team of two (2) Maintenance Assistants and two (2) Custodians including scheduling training and performance oversight
Plan coordinate and manage facilities improvement and maintenance projects from start to completion
Develop project timelines communicate milestones and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain facilities inventory and ensure tools materials and equipment are properly maintained and stocked
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and maintain safe work practices for all staff
Read and interpret technical materials such as building plans maps and instruction manuals
Collaborate with internal departments to support park operations programming and special events
Identify opportunities for operational improvements preventative maintenance and cost efficiencies
Support a culture of safety teamwork and accountability within the facilities team
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum four (4) years of professional hands-on experience in building maintenance or construction trades such as carpentry plumbing painting mechanical work or minor electrical work
At least three (3) years of supervisory experience managing a team of three (3) or more direct reports
At least one (1) year of project management experience overseeing construction maintenance or building improvement projects
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices
Ability to read and interpret technical materials including building plans and equipment manuals
Intermediate computer skills including email word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff at all levels both verbally and in writing
Ability to remain calm organized and effective while managing multiple priorities
Valid California Drivers License with an insurable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using project management software such as Asana Trello etc.
Experience in any of the following disciplines: fiberglass construction and/or repair mold making technical theater (i.e. lighting and soundboard operation) animatronics or any other speciality crafting/making skills

This position is primarily located in an outdoor environment. Able to perform the following duties with or without accommodation:
Stand sit kneel walk bend and perform repetitive motions for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift
Traverse safely over uneven terrain throughout the entirety of the 10-acre amusement park
Safely lift and transport items of up to 100 lbs.
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Respond quickly to sounds
See and respond quickly to situations
Communicate in clear loud voice
Operate two-radio for communications with park personnel
Work in outdoor seasonal weather conditions for 100% of shift
Ability to work on weekends and holidays with notice and as needed
Proven track record of punctuality and attendance

Ability to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination prior to start of employment;
This is a regular full-time non-exempt position scheduled Tuesdays through Saturdays 7:00 am 3:30 pm. The non-negotiable starting rate of pay is $35.40 per hour ($73632 annualized). Full-time employees are eligible to participate in benefits the first of the month following 60 days of service. Benefits include:
