Job Summary

 The CMS Global Compensation Director is part of the CMS Business Planning and Operations team and is a unique role to lead  the CMS compensation program and team.

The Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) organization brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses Middle Market Clients Large Corporate Clients Multi Nationals Treasury and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers Merchants FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  Our focus is to identify needs assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

The CMS global compensation director will lead the implementation of processes systems & program efficacy associated with Visas sales compensation program. The role will include the oversight of the plan design process administration seller compensation support management analytics and training including measuring the effectiveness of the program.

Reporting to the head of Business Performance Operations you will work directly with executive team members from sales sales operations finance HR and others to define the strategic compensation initiatives that support the CMS go-to-market strategies for Visa. 

What Youll Do:

  • Serve as the primary owner of the CMS sales incentive plans that are aligned with the companys business objectives and talent strategy while ensuring the achievement of sales goals and leading the organization through the integration of their sales compensation priorities and needs with existing sales compensations services and communications

  • Partner with the CMS Sales Leaders to design execute and administer the CMS sales compensation programs including alignment with short and long-term incentives and other reward programs to ensure alignment with business strategy and goals

  • Provide direction on the development of sales incentives continuous assessment of the companys programs to ensure innovate compensation solutions through analysis of internal and external markets
  • Manage a team that owns the day-to-day execution and management of the sales compensation program ensuring timely and accurate commissions payments and iteration to improve our management system
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including the global Total Rewards Finance Legal and sales operation teams to ensure seamless delivery of programs
  • Ensure that we have the right end of quarter look back analytics and presentations to provide to Executive Leadership showing critical attainment and payout statistics
  • Work with team to build incentive compensation dashboards reports and insightful analytics to provide sales leadership with real-time transparency into compensation plan performance and effectiveness.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
  • At least 8 years of sales compensation experience with progressively increasing responsibility and complexity of work
  • Extensive knowledge of sales compensation plan design trends and global regulatory environment
  • Ability to serve as strategic business partner and advisor to senior executive leaders business leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Experience using and leveraging global Compensation Tools (Varicent Xactly Callidus etc)
  • Excellent judgment analytical skills and strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Proven track record as a skilled and respected manager mentor and coach with outstanding interpersonal skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong sense of personal accountability with the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Expert ability in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent verbal analytical and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with exemplary organization skills. Must possess can do attitude
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines with a collaboration mind-set
  • Strong Google/Excel skills: use of advanced formulas pivot tables data manipulation VBA

Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 170700.00 to 273200.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
