About the role
The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) are looking for a Field Environment Officer to join the team. Operating in a competitive commercial environment this role has a practical on ground site-based focus and youll be working on environmental construction projects and programs with a focus on conservation earthworks construction and management of tracks trails and infrastructure for fire and recreational functions coastal erosion projects land remediation riparian works and erosion control. As a Field Environmental Officer you will learn and apply the work methods of your team and may be trained to use machinery ranging from hand tools to heavy plant to work on a range of environmental and civil construction projects. Youll also gain general experience in project management civil works and environmental construction program delivery and learn to assist senior staff investigate develop and scope solutions for natural resource management issues.
