Job Summary

The Principal Engineer (RF) will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for radio product and test engineering and continuous improvement across the full product lifecyclefrom New Product Introduction (NPI) to highvolume manufacturing.

This role provides expertlevel RF technical support leads complex failure analysis and defines advanced RF test methodologies to ensure robust product performance test yield and production efficiency.

The position requires close collaboration with R&D NPI/TPI teams manufacturing sites and repair centers.

Job Responsibilities
Act as senior owner of radio product(LTE/NR); provide technical expertise across product and test engineering to global production sites(mainly Mexico India China) repair centers and NPI/TPI programs..
Continuously improve test time yield.
Optimize test solutions (HW & SW) for production ensuring correctness accuracy cost efficiency. .
Lead highcomplexity failure analysis for manufacturing customer returns to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
Work closely with R&D.
Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to RF engineers promoting a culture of excellence innovation and continuous capability growth. Support local Jabil site (Guadalajara) to elevate RF technical capabilities by close collaboration with site teams.
Potential future involvement on running customer NPIs at Jabil factories.
Potentially support customer in the future on product technical maintenance.
Collaborate with quality and change management for component verification (changes in BOM spot buys etc).
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements
Deep understanding of RF design wireless communication principles uplink/downlink chains.
Strong knowledge of 4G/5G telecom systems including RF KPI significance and measurement methodologies.
Expertlevel proficiency with RF measurement instruments: Spectrum/Signal Analyzers Vector Network Analyzers Signal Generators Power Meters.
Familiarity with test automation and analysis tools.
Experience with Python MATLAB LabVIEW VEE C# is a plus.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Demonstrated innovation mindset and ability to drive technical improvements.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications Electronics Electrical Microwave Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in RF engineering ideally covering RF design test development.
Handson experience with RF product design or testing in areas such as Transceivers Power Amplifiers Antennas Filters.
Experience supporting NPI/TPI programs and working in highvolume manufacturing environments.
Global collaboration experience is a plus.
Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills in English and Spanish with leadership presence in cross-functional environment.
