Job Summary
Cybersecurity Engineer I (CSE1)
Location:NIWC Pacific San Diego CA
Salary Range: 100 - 110K/year
Certification Required: Security (DoD 8570 IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I compliant)
Experience: 1 year of experience
Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to help implement and maintain cybersecurity protections across mission-critical networks at NIWC Pacific. This role supports cybersecurity compliance vulnerability mitigation and system security monitoring within secure RDT&E environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD policies and standards
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and compliance requirements
- Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to improve network defense and resilience
- Support incident response activities and security breach reporting
- Ensure protection of digital systems infrastructure and sensitive data
- Assist with security documentation reporting and compliance tracking
Qualifications
- Security certification (DoD 8570 compliant IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I)
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Computer Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering Mathematics with computer science concentration or related field preferred
- Active Secret Security Clearance
$100000 - $110000 a year
