Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating researching and responding to internal and external compliance-related requests and investigating agent conduct concerns. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the companys compliance with regulations carrier contractual obligations and internal compliance standards. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to address agent conduct matters manage compliance documentation and support compliance initiatives across the organization.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to internal and external requests for information related to agent conduct compliance issues audits and regulatory inquiries.
  • Coordinate research and compile accurate compliance responses for third-party stakeholders to demonstrate regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Conduct investigations into agent conduct including allegations of sales practice misconduct and perform quality assurance reviews related to agent escalations and compliance matters.
  • Prepare investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for corrective action when appropriate.
  • Issue and track coaching remediation and corrective action plans for internal affiliates and independent agents and respond to similar requests from external partners.
  • Assist in the creation implementation and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies procedures and work instructions.
  • Support the identification analysis and resolution of compliance-related issues across the organization.
  • Manage and support exclusion list processes to ensure the company does not engage individuals or entities that are prohibited from doing business.
  • Maintain review and organize regulatory and compliance documentation necessary to uphold corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including marketing sales and distribution affiliates) and external partners on compliance and business initiatives.
  • Participate in and support compliance projects and special initiatives as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in compliance investigations or a related field.
  • Background in the insurance industry and/or a compliance-related role preferred.
  • Experience with CMS requirements and the health insurance industry strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and other standard business applications.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management sales professionals and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively focusing resources on higher-risk matters and manage sensitive matters with professionalism discretion and integrity.
