NegotiableGeneral Description/Primary Purpose:
Part-time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis as needed and are non-tenure-earning. Courses hours and pay will vary with each assignment.
Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Teach assigned courses in Nutrition ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
Maintain effective communication with students addressing inquiries and providing timely feedback.
Adhere to department guidelines and procedures fostering a collaborative and professional environment.

Compensation:
Adjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $1000 per credit hour.
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in nutrition or a closely related field.
Previous teaching experience or relevant work experience in the field.
Registered dietitian credential

Temporary appointment extended to an expert in a specific field to give instruction in connection with an established program. The appointments are for one (1) academic term at a time and possess no continuing contractual relationship with the University. May teach undergrad courses with masters degree in specified discipline. Can be used for temporary (OPS) faculty titles only.Preferred Qualifications:
Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) or PhD in Nutrition or a closely related field.
Experience teaching online courses.
Experience as a preceptor for students in the field.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: food service management counseling nutrition and metabolism.
