Work Arrangement: Onsite
Contract Duration: April 1 2026 - August 31 2026
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays)
Position Overview
The QA/Test Manager II will perform highly advanced managerial and technical work related to quality assurance and software testing activities. This role is responsible for leading testing efforts across all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including planning execution monitoring and reporting of testing activities.
The QA/Test Manager will collaborate closely with the IT Division vendor teams and business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and successful system implementation. Responsibilities include defining and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies managing defect triage and resolution coordinating testing resources and ensuring testing deliverables meet project standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform highly advanced managerial tasks related to QA and testing activities including analysis and testing tasks associated with software development and system configuration.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle including analyzing diagnosing and resolving reported software issues and troubleshooting system problems for internal and external clients.
- Define and review the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy for TDLR modernization projects and provide guidance to the team during Soft UAT.
- Align resources and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for all review and testing activities.
- Coordinate sprint review feedback with vendor staff and business SMEs.
- Review test cases provided by the vendor with SMEs and recommend edits or improvements.
- Collaborate with business users and SMEs to create update and execute test cases.
- Perform testing activities and provide test results and reports including pass/fail status defects issues and concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the IT Division business users and vendor teams.
- Lead defect triage efforts including tracking prioritizing and managing defect resolution.
- Review defects to identify patterns or recurring themes perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Provide weekly updates on UAT progress and testing results.
- Deliver testing-related project status updates including defect progress and verification of requirement traceability and coverage.
- Ensure UAT exit criteria are met and obtain final testing sign-off from business stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
