Progressive was founded and incorporated in 1971 in Arlington Texas. Heroux-Devtek Inc. purchased Progressive in 2004 who helped to expand the site which has doubled its manufacturing footprint and more than doubled sales and employee August 2012 Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) acquired Progressive and is now one of the largest footprints within the Aerostructures Division of PCC.

Predominantly a provider for large highly complex machined parts kits and assemblies for OEMs and large Tier One providers for both military and commercial market segments. Progressive Incorporated is now a 271000 square foot facility.

Position Summary:

At the direction of the Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor the Quality Inspector Level 1 will train to develop the ability to use predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspection of products such as machined parts mechanical assemblies processed parts and purchased standard hardware. They also perform verifications of part identification and configurations. The Quality Inspector Level 1 will arrange inspection queues to identify priority addition they will identify and segregate non-conforming product using basic knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5 and common inspection measuring equipment including but not limited to surface plates micrometers height gages radius gages protractors profilometers bore gauges and dial indicators as necessary to complete assignments. Quality Inspector Level 1 will demonstrate blueprint reading and basic math skills basic PC skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to use ERP systems after instruction.

Reporting Relationships:

The Quality Inspector Level 1 will report to the Quality Supervisor.
