This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical Electrical Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH) cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power stations vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Fire Risk Assessor youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You play a crucial role in ensuring fire safety across one of the UKs largest and most complex infrastructure programmes. Your work helps protect people safeguard operations and strengthen the resilience of a nationally significant energy project.

Day-to-day youll be required to

• Conduct detailed fire safety inspections across MEHA areas of responsibility.
• Complete and update fire risk assessments using digital inspection tools such as Fieldview.
• Work closely with construction and delivery teams to support safe systems of work.
• Coordinate with other contractors fire risk assessors to ensure aligned and consistent approaches.
• Identify fire safety shortfalls and take proactive steps to address them.

This is a fulltime position working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday based at Hinkley Point C Bridgwater Somerset.

Essential experience of theFire Risk Assessor:

• Experience delivering fire risk assessments within complex buildings or highrisk environments.
• Practical experience in fire safety ideally within construction or major infrastructure.
• Ability to influence safety behaviours and promote a positive safety culture.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Familiarity with digital risk assessment or inspection systems.

Qualifications for the Fire Risk Assessor:

• Level 3 or Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor certification (Level 4 required by Q2 2026).

Security Clearance
