Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Bessemer AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce incidents. You will support access control and badge checks respond to alarms and/or service requests document observations and deliver customer-focused communication while working as part of an agile reliable innovative team that leads with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or vendors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including supporting de-escalation and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices common areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and interior activity verify authorization when required and report suspicious behavior hazards and/or maintenance concerns through approved reporting channels.
- Complete timely incident reports shift logs and other documentation and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
