About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
You will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum that supports students of all abilities helping them to develop confidence and mastery in mathematical concepts.
Working collaboratively within the department you will contribute to curriculum development enrichment activities and the continued improvement of teaching and learning within the school.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Mathematics lessons aligned with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications
Develop students numeracy problem-solving and analytical skills
Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations ensuring strong progress and attainment
Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
Assess track and report on student progress effectively
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Support students through targeted interventions and additional learning opportunities where required
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics education
Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Legal right to work in the UK
