Job Summary
A high-achieving and well-respected secondary school in Swindon is seeking a talented Second in Charge of Design & Technology (2iC DT) to join its successful department from April.

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across KS3 KS4 & KS5 while supporting the Head of Department in the leadership and development of the DT curriculum.
The role will involve:
Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 4 & 5
Supporting the Head of Department in curriculum planning and departmental strategy
Helping maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the department
Supporting colleagues with resources schemes of work and best practice
Monitoring student progress and contributing to strategies that raise attainment
Promoting enrichment opportunities such as design projects STEM activities and competitions

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
Ability to teach DT across KS3 KS4 & KS5
Ambition to develop within a departmental leadership role
