Your Mission
As a Mechanical Engineer at PWNT you play a key role in realizing our innovative water treatment solutions. You are responsible not only for the technical design but also for the quality manufacturability and practical applicability of your designs within our projects. You will work within the Project Engineering & Development group in Amsterdam (at least three days per week on-site) and focus on our proprietary technologies: SIX ILCA and CeraMac.
You are involved from the very first sketch: from concept development and prototyping to validation and ultimately translating designs into fully scalable installations. You collaborate closely with fellow engineers project managers suppliers and clients acting as the technical point of contact within your discipline. With your understanding of mechanical design standards and regulations you create solutions that are technically strong sustainable and practically feasible.
In this role you have the freedom to conduct independent research explore new ideas and implement improvements. You work in a close-knit international team with extensive expertise where knowledge sharing and collaboration are central. The projects are complex innovative and internationally oriented no two days are the same. You work with the latest technologies in a rapidly growing market where water quality and sustainability are becoming increasingly important.
What You Will Do
Develop and elaborate mechanical engineering solutions that meet the needs of our customers and projects. Manage and further develop PWNTs existing and future technologies from a mechanical perspective. Perform QA/QC inspections at both national and international suppliers to ensure technical quality. Prepare technical documentation including specifications installation manuals and maintenance manuals. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to smooth technical coordination between all stakeholders. Provide guidance during membrane installation activities on-site.
About You A completed bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field. Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. Demonstrable experience with 2D and 3D modelling and drafting; experience with Autodesk software is a strong plus. At least three years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Flexible proactive and able to work effectively with changing tasks and project priorities. Affinity with or experience in water treatment technologies is a plus. Willingness to travel internationally on occasion for projects or supplier visits.
Working with us means You will receive a gross monthly salary between 3178 and 3637 based on a 40hour workweek depending on the knowledge and experience you bring. You are entitled to 25 vacation days giving you plenty of time to recharge. You benefit from flexible working hours and the option to work from home two days per week. When you join us you start with a temporary contract without a probation period. Not because we have doubts but because we believe you perform at your best when we take the time to get to know each other properly.
