Essential: Previous site experience

Ideally all candidates must have the following experience:

  • Self motivation

  • To always work within own capability and be able to judge when help or advice is required.

  • Natural aptitude towards operations and further learning

  • Ability to work within a team to add strength to that team

  • Good IT Skills including use of PC and mobile devices.

  • Good pro-active approach with the ability to analyse and report back any off-spec performance.

  • As a role model for refinery core values and behavioural expectations.

  • Demonstrates positive support for Refinery / Terminal initiatives supervision and management teams

Job Title: HLPG Terminal Operator

Project: P66

Location: Immingham

Rotation: Shift

Duration: Initial 12 months

Start Date: Earliest Start Date 16/03/26

Worley is currently recruiting for an HLPG Terminal Operator. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our team on P66

Purpose/Role:

  • Work within the Terminal operations team to operate the Terminal in a safe environmentally responsible and efficient manner adjusting and monitoring plant & equipment to optimum targets.

  • Support the Field Leader to obtain optimum and reliable operations.

  • Learn all Area Plant equipment and processes in a timely manner.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively in a timely manner.

Prime responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the safety and environment culture to ensure a safe place of work and minimise impact of unit operations including conducting audits as required.

  • Responsible for monitoring/operation of all equipment under their control in a safe efficient and effective manner.

  • Ensure a comprehensive shift handover occurs.

  • Full knowledge and execution of the Permit to Work system including Gas Testing and first break rules.

  • Safe and timely preparation of equipment for start -ups shutdowns maintenance and re-commissioning with a full understanding of its duty and capability.

  • Analysis of terminal samples.

  • Carry out scheduled Equipment Operating Maintenance Plans (EOMPs).

  • Carry out minor maintenance work using equipment/tools that you have received training on.

  • Carry out housekeeping on the area without prompting from the Field Leader to maintain the Terminals high standard.

  • Participate in Terminal/Refinery Emergency Response and shutdown Training as required.

  • Adhere to recognised work practices and procedures

  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels and work within priorities set by the Field Leader

  • Respond to Operation Reliability and Maintenance initiatives.

  • Be aware of energy conservation/minimise chemical and other material waste/losses within own area of responsibility.

  • Be actively involved in unit turnarounds.

  • Be flexible to resolve staffing shortages.

  • Progress own Training to become a relief Field leader and ensure compliance with any addition courses - this may necessitate training during off-duty periods.
