Machine Operator

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same Were recruiting a Multiskilled Relief Machine Operator to join a busy well-established operation in North Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety responsibility and working as part of a supportive team.

About the Role

This is a dynamic full-time position where youll play a key role in keeping site operations running smoothly. Youll provide essential cover across the team stepping into different duties and operating a range of machinery. If youre adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment this role will keep you engaged and challenged.

What Youll Be Doing

• Operating loading shovels forklift trucks and material handlers (12-ton and 20-ton)
• Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
• Supporting general site operations as needed
• Providing cover during holidays and absences across the team

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:30 (45 hours per week)
• Optional overtime available - up to 20 hours per week

What Were Looking For

• Experience operating plant machinery (loading shovels forklifts material handlers)
• Relevant tickets/certifications are an advantage but not essential
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices
• Flexible reliable and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• A team player with a positive can-do attitude
