Tasks
- Create mechanical components and custom equipment for our production lab
- Hands-on involvement in developing assembling and testing new opto-mechanical setups
- Analyze and optimize mechanical tolerances stability and alignment in our handling gluing and measurement processes
- Standardize mechanical fixtures on the production line while enabling product customization
- Work with external workshops and partners for custom manufacturing and sourcing
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g. precision engineering mechatronics) with solid practical experience in industrial manufacturing
- Experience with 3D CAD software for mechanical design (e.g. Fusion 360 Onshape Solid Edge)
- Expertise in precision positioning applications (sub-micron) including vibration and mechanical stability considerations
- Fluent communication in English
- 3 years or more of work experience in an industrial environment are desirable
- Familiarity with cleanroom-compatible materials and design practices is desirable
