Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the NICU will provide skilled nursing care to infants working within a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions administering medications and collaborating with the healthcare team. The role requires flexibility in scheduling including weekends and potential floating to the mother-baby unit.
Location:Fullerton California United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to infants in the NICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions documenting observations accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Float to mother baby unit as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU (1.5 years may be considered).
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification.
- Experience with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Advanced NRP certification.
Special Considerations:

- Must be willing to work weekends potentially exceeding every other weekend.
- All holiday RTO will be submitted as preferences.
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.
- Traveler may need to float between like units specifically to the mother-baby unit.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Schedule will require filling in where needed.
- May exceed every other weekend.
- Open to accommodating block schedules per manager discretion.
