Job Location: Plano TX or Jersey City NJ
- Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer with practical experience in voice communication systems and SIP/VoIP technologies.
- This is not a specialized carrier-grade telecom engineering role. Instead we need a strong cloud-first DevOps professional who has built or maintained modern voice platforms using open-source tools and modern automation practices in AWS.
- You will focus on designing automating and containerizing voice infrastructure while working within the clients existing environment (Ribbon SBC PSX Neustar APIs proxies).
- The emphasis is on cloud infrastructure full-stack development CI/CD and automation tooling around voice systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and automate scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible)
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications (React frontend Python backend)
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization strategies (Docker Kubernetes preferred)
- Apply DevOps best practices including GitOps and configuration-as-code
- Work with SIP protocol and voice infrastructure (Asterisk FreeSWITCH Kamailio or similar)
- Containerize and deploy voice applications in AWS cloud environments
- Build automation tooling for voice-related systems including carrier inventory management for owned numbers
- Perform troubleshooting using SIP ladder analysis proxy connections synthetic transactions and Splunk for CDR/log analysis
- Integrate with Neustar APIs (currently using API keys)
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver resilient automated voice communication platforms
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Infrastructure / DevOps experience with a strong focus on AWS
- Solid hands-on experience with SIP protocol and voice communication platforms (Asterisk FreeSWITCH Kamailio or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Python (backend) and React (frontend)
- Strong experience with Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions etc.)
- IaC expertise Terraform and/or Ansible
- Experience automating and troubleshooting voice systems in cloud environments
- Comfortable working in multi-system environments (SBC Proxy Network external APIs)
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Plano TX or Jersey City NJ
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Splunk (especially CDR analysis)
- GitOps tools (ArgoCD Flux)
- Scripting in Go or Bash
- Prior work in financial services or large enterprise voice platforms
