Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design build and maintain a hybrid infrastructure spanning both cloud and IoT environments. This is a hands-on role that will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability scalability and security of the organizations infrastructure.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support a platform that connects cloud systems with customer-premise equipment and IoT devices operating at scale. The role involves building modern infrastructure solutions improving monitoring and observability and leading modernization initiatives from initial design through deployment and production operations.

In addition to technical leadership you will mentor team members and help establish best practices across infrastructure engineering monitoring and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Own design build and maintain infrastructure across cloud-based and on-premise IoT environments ensuring reliability security and scalability.
Develop and implement tools that improve the deployment management and monitoring of customer-premise equipment IoT devices and backend systems.
Lead infrastructure and system modernization projects from architecture and design through implementation and production operations.
Improve observability and monitoring across infrastructure and IoT devices using both custom-built tools and existing solutions.
Implement secure connectivity solutions that ensure resilient and secure communication between devices and cloud systems.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure infrastructure supports platform growth and reliability.
Mentor and guide team members sharing best practices in infrastructure design monitoring and system reliability.

Required Experience and Skills:

5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps roles.
Strong system administration background with Linux-based systems.
Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking including Docker firewalls load balancers and VPNs.
Solid experience monitoring alerting and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
Software development experience related to infrastructure development particularly using Python.
Hands-on experience with a variety of AWS services.
Proven ability to manage and secure hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on- premise).
Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Ansible CDK or similar technologies.
Excellent communication skills in English with a collaborative proactive and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing servers and/or IoT devices at scale.
Familiarity with AWS IoT services such as AWS IoT Greengrass v2.
Strong understanding of best practices for secure infrastructure architecture and design.
