Job Summary
About the position
Category/ Operational Buyer for raw material (steel tubes bars etc) and wire rope & cable within the one of the Buisness Area at Kongsberg Automotive (Drive Control Systems).
Responsibilities
Price and contract negotiations with supplier manage spend within categories
Leading improvement projects from commercial perspective
Connection point with project purchasing and stakeholders within assigned categories
Secure bidders list for new projects and support within sourcing activities
Risk management and secure suppliers are having necessary documentation and qualification in place
Annual negotations with main suppliers
Understanding raw material market and impact on pricing and secure commercially beneficial approach from company perpsective
Visualization of exposure per raw material on part price
Support plant in securing production related to supplier issues (in case needed)
Plant (where located) contact interface for Purchasing topics
Requirements
- . or . degree in Business Management and/ or Engineering
- Analytical and structured and being able to drive the category independently
- Strong communication skills and business mind-set
- A proactive goal-oriented and cross-functional approach
- Fluent knowledge of English language and Polish or Slovakian language
