St Vincents Care Services Heathcote (locally known as John Paul Village) is a 213 bed facility located 35km from Sydneys CBD. It is situated next to the Royal National Park one of Sydneys real treasures!

We are looking for a compassionate spiritual and professional person to join the Pastoral Care team working with theResidential Care ServicesManager and care team to respond effectively to the diverse emotionalspiritualand religious needs of our residents and their families.

Applicants must have a sound understanding of our Mission and a genuine commitment to the service of the aged vulnerable and poor.

Things that work for us:

  • Attainment of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE 1) qualification and working towards CPE 2. Equivalent training in the care of the sick the dying and the grieving (Essential)
  • Relevant pastoral experience in a similarclinical/care/educationenvironment (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary studies in Theology (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary studies in Mental Health (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to promote Catholic ethos (highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with Catholic culture ritual theology tradition and worldview (highly regarded)
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
  • Ability to build rapport trust empathy or strong relationships
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religiousculturaland ethnic backgrounds Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions
  • Competent technology and computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
